♦♣•Microsoft's•• New system easier for Browser Switch

NEW YORK - Microsoft Corp is developing a feature in its new operating system that allows users to turn off Internet Explorer and other key Microsoft programs.

The new feature is a major step for the world's largest software company, which has been accused by competitors and regulators of forcing consumers to run its own software, squeezing rivals' offerings out of the marketplace.

"In addition to the features that were already available to turn on or off in Windows Vista, we've added the following features to the list in Windows 7," said a Microsoft blog published on Friday, listing Internet Explorer 8, Windows Media Player and a host of other Microsoft programs.
turning-windows-features-on-or-off.aspx) was written by Jack May o, a manager in the team developing Microsoft's new Windows 7 operating system, which will replace the unpopular Vista early next year.

The new design will make it easier for users to remove any traces of Internet Explorer from their desktop, although the software will remain installed on the computer, and allow them to run other browsers more smoothly.

Last month Google Inc, which recently launched its own Chrome browser, joined the Mozilla foundation, producer of the Firefox Web browser, and Norway's Opera, in protesting Microsoft's dominance in the browser market.

In January, European regulators brought formal charges against Microsoft for abusing its dominant market position by bundling its Internet Explorer Web browser with its Windows operating system, which is used in 95 percent of the world's personal computers.

In the past decade, Microsoft has fallen afoul of both U.S. and European antitrust regulators for bundling key programs with its operating system.

Ïs it a constraint or a problem?

People find always problem and try to solve it. But sometimes problem is not easy to solve and you really need a companion where in you can express your feeling and confess all your burden in your mind.
Problem connotes in many ways.
Statement of the current problem: As a System analyst of the CLICK Software Developers, it is very challenging and mind footage that you really exert effort on it. Because you are determined to surpass the task. Person you've trusted with is your friend but the day come and very late approach that he would never continue to program the system he rather than support other to get a 5.0 grade. This night i was very disappointed and i think that im falling from the hell to the landmark of the other planet. He lost my faith and trust to him. Hence, it is his choice i can't do nothing. its better to handle everything and work independently than be parted!!!!
Now, im inspired and encourage by someone to continue the system. Even incomplete grade than failed.
i hope he will realized and not really to curse him but let him feel the feeling of others whom he's not value thier efforts.
i have nothing to express na...Just TRUST TO GOD ALMIGHTY AND ASK HELP TO SOMEONE!!!GOD BLESS TO YOU AND DO NOT FULL YOUR TRUST TO SOMEONE WHOM YOU DID NOT KNOW HIM/ HER YET TOO,.

Gigabyte Touch Note M1028

Gigabyte is bringing in four new tablet touchscreen netbooks, the Touch Note M1028 — all in various packages in a 10.1″ screen. I guess Gigabyte learned its lesson from the older touchscreen tablet netbook.Half of the new models will have a standard screen resolution of 1024×600 pixels while the other half will be on a higher scale of 1366×768 pixels. Default memory on board is 1GB but can be easily upgraded to a maximum of 2GB.

Still running on a Windows XP platform, the M1028 has 160GB HDD and powered by the newer Intel Atom N280 at 1.66GHz. Video is still coming from an Intel 945GSE chip but one of the high-end models will have the Intel GN40 chipset. Has WiFi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.0,and options for 3.5G/HSDAP and/or WiMax. The netbooks will have either a 4 cell, 4500mAh battery or a 6 cell, 7650mAh battery

Amazon Kindle 2

The 2nd generation Kindle from Amazon is now official and is available for pre-order for $359. Oprah surely did help boost sales of the e-book reader. Although the upgrades are not that record-breaking — 2GB storage for up to 1,500 books, 25% more battery life, better display — it sure doesn’t hurt that this model is thinner (9mm) and lighter (289 grams).

The best new feature I guess would be Read to Me which is a text-to-speech feature that reads the e-book (and blogs, magazine, newspaper) for you.
then again, this is one of those gadgets we’ll never get to see or use in the Philippines. Well, unless Amazon changes their business model and unlock the Kindle from Sprint’s 3G network.

♠♥♥Friendster Money Transfer via GCash♦♣♥

Friendster has just introduced an Online Money Transfer feature into their social networking site. Powered by Globe GCash, friends will be able to send and receive money with a single click from their Friendster Profile.

Friendster users will still need to be a Globe or TM user in order to process money remittances on Friendster.

GXI and Friendster introduced the online money transfer feature to provide a more convenient and reliable way of transferring GCash within Friendster. For just a minimal amount of P2.50 per transaction, a Friendster member can already send GCash to anyone in his friends list by simply viewing the profile of the intended recipient and clicking the GCash button after specifying the amount involved.

To ensure the security and authenticity of the funds transfer, a confirmation request is forwarded to the sender’s Globe or TM SIM then GCash is transferred as simple as a text message. Money remittances will still be charged the normal Php2.50 GCash transaction fee.

This move could help Friendster position itself as a micro-ecommerce platform, the same way Multiply has evolved among Filipino users.
